Christmas Wreath Treats
- Snack
- Dessert
Ingredients
4 tablespoons salted butter
1 (10-ounce) package mini marshmallows
1 teaspoon Crayola Green Food Colors
5 cups crispy corn cereal flakes
Nonstick cooking spray (for your hands)
Mini red candies (such as mini M&M’s) for decorating
Preparation
- Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. In a large saucepan over low heat,
melt the butter. Add the marshmallows and stir until smooth and fully
melted. - Remove from heat and stir in Crayola Green Food Colors until the mixture is
evenly tinted. - Fold in the corn cereal flakes, stirring gently until every piece is coated in
that bright, colorful marshmallow mix. Let it cool slightly so it’s easier
to handle. - Lightly spray your hands with nonstick spray. Scoop about ⅓ cup of the mixture,
shape it into a small log, and connect the ends to form a wreath. Place on
the prepared baking sheets. Repeat with remaining mixture. - Press three mini red candies onto each wreath to look like holly berries. Let
sit until firm, about 15 minutes.
Creative Tip
Try adding a dusting of edible glitter or a bow made from
licorice string for extra sparkle and personality, because when Crayola colors
are involved, more creativity is always better!
