

Almondy Shortbread Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tsp Adams® Pure Almond Extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
- 1/3 cup sugar for dusting
Preparation
Preheat oven to 300°. In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar and almond extract until fluffy. Stir in flour until smooth.
Divide dough in 2 parts, wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours. Sprinkle sugar on work surface and roll out dough to 1/2” thick. Cut out cookies with a small, round cookie cutter. Place 1” apart on nonstick baking sheet.
Bake 25-30 min, until edges are light golden brown. Dust with sugar, then cool and enjoy.
